Overview

The LS-1™ is a portable unit intended to supply intensive care unit (ICU) functionality for adult and pediatric patients. The LS-1™ combines the following medical device capabilities into one platform: Physiological Monitoring (electrocardiogram, invasive pressure monitoring, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, temperature, pulse rate, blood oxygen saturation, and heart rate); low rate and high rate infusion pumps; a fluid warmer; a ventilator with carbon dioxide and oxygen monitoring capabilities; and the ability to deliver oxygen to a patient (using an external oxygen cylinder or oxygen concentrator). The functions of the LS-1™ are controlled from a central user interface. The LS-1™ may be operated using either battery power or an external power source. LS-1™ can secure to a standard NATO litter by either attaching it underneath the litter to the litter poles, or by attaching it to a SMEED shelf attached to the litter. LS-1™ can also be strapped to a vehicle floor.The unit is intended to be used in hospitals, aircraft, ambulances, field hospitals, and extended care facilities.
